For November’s astrology update, I will be focusing on a theme. When I look at the astrological forecast ahead, it seems there is a pattern across the wheel, and this pattern, or theme is all about growth.
As we know, the midterms are coming up, and with that, there is going to be a bit of civil unrest. If you stand on either side (Democrat or Republican), you are guaranteed to feel unsettled. There’s just no way around it. But what happens if we stand in the middle? Instead of creating a see-saw effect, what would happen if we found a middle ground? In what ways would the dynamic of our country change? This, I think is our opportunity for growth, even though realistically speaking, I know we could be a long ways away from this middle ground. Nonetheless, I am touching on it anyway, in hopes to start carving the path for a future of balance.
With November’s astrological alignments, it’s as if the door to balance is cracked open, but we have to make the choice to walk through. If we are to choose the path less traveled, there would be massive growth in store for us, and this month is a great time to take the opportunity for a new way of being.
The doorknob turns to open the door on November 9th with the New Moon in Scorpio. We officially entered Scorpio season on October 23rd while going into the Full Moon. But on November 9th, we are starting a new cycle. The New Moon in Scorpio is associated with deep introspection, releasing emotional baggage, and beginning again with greater self-awareness. Whatever the collective decides when the midterms hit will put us into a state of deep thought and realization. It is a powerful symbolic time to examine what lies beneath the surface rather than avoiding uncomfortable truths. This will be the “cracking open” of the door.
On November 13th, I see the collective turning towards this door and evaluating if they want to walk through it as Mercury and Venus turn direct. Mercury turns direct in Scorpio, followed by Venus turning direct in Libra. Both planets have been retrograde, and we’ve been reviewing communication, relationships, values, finances, and unresolved issues. When they station direct, we can expect a shift from reflection toward forward movement, although it may take time for matters to feel settled again. The opportunity for growth will be there. Will we decide to take advantage of it is the question.
By November 16th, the “unsettling” will be at its peak, and we will really be as a deciding point as Mars conjuncts Jupiter in Leo. Mars represents drive, action, and war, while Jupiter symbolizes growth and expansion. Their conjunction in Leo will amplify confidence, creativity, leadership, and the desire to pursue something meaningful. But be cautious not to become overconfident. It will be an easy time to make impulsive decisions, or taking on more than you can realistically manage. Growth does not come fast in the natural world. Growth is slow. With this alignment, there will be a sort of “fairy dust” in the air that could very well lore you into decisions that are not based on what your heart truly wants, or what your body can handle. Don’t fall for the temptation. Stay grounded in what you know is possible.
On November 24th and 25th, we have the Full Moon in Gemini and the Sun opposite Uranus. Together, this is the most powerful alignment of the month. Gemini is associated with information, communication, and curiosity; Uranus is associated with disruption, innovation, and freedom. There are possible outcomes that point to receiving shocking information that will challenge old beliefs, or the need to think differently. I’m not sure exactly what to expect, but if I were a gambler, I would bet that the political scene is going to be blown up in some form or fashion, along with the setting of our individual lives when it comes to communicating our individuality.
To wrap it up, on November 29th, Uranus in Gemini forms a trine with Pluto in Aquarius. This is a big one too that could cause some big shake-ups. These are slow-moving planets, so this aspect belongs to a broader period of social, technological, and intellectual change, not something that happens in one day. Uranus represents innovation and liberation, while Pluto represents deep transformation and the restructuring of power. This aspect will present us with more opportunities to rethink established systems and explore new possibilities.
Personally, I am both excited and nervous for November. I will most definitely have to remind myself to exhale many times. We all know that holding our breath for certain outcomes can result in more stagnation, which is not what we want when we are talking about growth. So please join me in paying attention to your breath, and trusting that whatever the outcome is, we are growing because of it. Release control, trust the process, and breathe easy knowing that there is a greater order to what is to come.
